Alert
Do you know where your kids are?
There is an on going problem with unauthorized people at the Marinas.  It has been reported that most are young people and teenagers that live in North Shore or friends of teens that live here.   This past week-end one owner reported that his boat seat had a cigarette burn and beer cans left on his boat.  Vandalism and property theft is not uncommon.  A neighbor near Peninsula Marina has encountered teens partying there late at night and asked one young couple on blankets to leave the area near his home.   Alcohol is often present.  Owners of the boats deeply resent the use of their property as gathering places for these kids that have no business there in the first place.
The police will be called in the future and patrols increased.

Please take the opportunity to advise your family and guest of the rules.  The Marina is open only to residents in good standing and their supervised guest.  Boats and docks are strickly off limits except to owners.  The gates must remained locked at all times and only authorized boats are allowed on Lake Spivey.

Our lake is a precious jewel that we all must protect.  Please do your part.  If you have any questions or concerns please contact our Security Chairman listed above or President John Westervelt.

Join the Security Walkers and Runners
Security Chair, Dave Christian has organized our walkers and runners into a roving patrol.  While getting fit they will keep an eye on the neighborhood.

Pontoon Party Saturday August 9th - 7PM
This North Shore Tradition Continues.  Bring your boat or hook up with friends and prepare to set sail from the Baggarly's dock at 8710 Lake Forest Drive.   We tie our boats together in the big cove and create a floating party  room.  If you don't have a boat meet us on the dock and join the fun.  There is always plenty of room.  Bring your favorite snack or dish & beverage to share.  Dress cool or wear your swim suit if you wish to take a dip.
It is a great time to meet your neighbors, relax and enjoy beautiful million dollar sunset.
RSVP to Vicki Westervelt @ 770-477-1321

Social Chair Vicki Westervelt is hard at work planning exciting events for North Shore.  On the schedule is Thirsty Thursdays.  Each Thursday evening neighbors are invited to join up in the cove in your pontoon boats for food, drinks and fun.  We encourage you to invite friends from other neighborhoods around the lake.  This casual event has no agenda and will start and stop at the pleasure of the participants
