Lake Spivey is a private lake for the exclusive use of the property owners who are in good standing. To keep Lake Spivey the beautiful place it is we must adhere by these rules. We also must have the complete cooperation and participation of each property owner who has the responsibility of keeping their dues and fees current. At this time lake assessments, fees and membership is very low compared to other lake communities. For all the amenities that Lake Spivey affords - there is no comparison.

Directory

The new LSCA Directory is printed in June and mailed to all those who paid their membership fee this year. When you receive your copy, please check it and report any errors or changes to me at 770-477-1100.

Directory Up-Date was mailed the early part of September along with a copy of The Anchor (the newsletter for Lake Spivey). Discard the copy of Rules and Regulations for Lake Spivey that was in the Directory and replace with the new rules. The addition covers the sub-dividing of lots.

IF you have not read the new zoning which affects all of the Lake Spivey neighborhoods. Go to LSCA Committees Estate Residential.

Annual Meeting

Our Annual meeting of the membership is always held on the 2nd Tuesday in March (Dictated by our By-Laws. At this meeting we elected a new Board of Directors and set the Budget for the year.

Even After the $700,000 cost for the Silt clean-up project in 2003-04 we still had a low lake maintence fee and it was not until this past meeting on March 14 that the membership felt the need to increase the fee.Lake Maintenance fee was increased by only $50 and is now $350.00 per year.  This maintenance fee of 350.00 is extremely low for the amenties we enjoy

A lot of our property owners take the early payment discount. Another advantage of paying early and on time (before May 1) and registering a boat, you receive your boat decal early. If the boat registration forms are correct -including the "Property Owners Affidavit"- I try to get them out in the return mail after I credit your payment.

Our delinquent payers are still a minor portion of owners - less than 2.5 % not paying their fair share for the upkeep of our lake. These properties have had their Lake Privileges suspended and accounts over to a collection agency. 13 out of 489. The names of the property owners who are not doing their fair share in maintaining the Lake are published at the annual meeting. There is some talk of publishing them on the website and in The Anchor. These are properties with suspended lake privileges.

Last year we registered almost 700 boats and this year looks to be the same.
